The Kyrgyzstan Rugby Sevens national team took part in the Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Trophy (AREST), which was held from October 25 to 27 in Oman. The tournament featured 13 men’s and 5 women’s teams: Afghanistan, Bahrain, India, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and South Korea.

In the group stage, the Kyrgyzstan Rugby Sevens team played in Group B along with Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia, losing to Kazakhstan 0–44 and to Saudi Arabia 0–22.

After the group stage, the Kyrgyz team qualified for the Challenge group, where they faced Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, and Oman. In the first match of this stage, the Kyrgyz team lost to Lebanon 0–40, but then achieved their first victory, defeating Palestine 12–7.
Tries: Ilgiz Doolotbay uulu (2:20, 1st half) and Tamirlan Ismailov (3:05, 2nd half).
Conversion: Aziz Kochmanbetov (2:30, 1st half).

In the following matches, the team lost to Iraq (0–36) and Oman (0–19).
